Directions

On foot (about 15 minutes) from the Freiburg Hauptbahnhof (main station):
Walk to the pedestrian and streetcar bridge that spans over the tracks and take a left. The bridge heads into the `Bertoldstrasse`. Follow the `Bertoldstrasse` straight through the city center. At one point it turns into the `Salzstrasse`, keep going straight until you go through the `Schwabentor` (old tower building where `Salzstrasse’ meets ‘ Schwabentorring’ ). After passing through the gate, cross the street so that you are on the other side of the `Schwabentorring`. Head down this street and take the next left, `Kartäuserstrasse`. Go about 200 m and the ’ Black Forest Hostel` n° 33 will be on your left, the yellow house in the back courtyard.

By streetcar:
From the Freiburg-Hauptbahnhof the streetcar stop is on the bridge that spans over the tracks. Take the n°1 towards `Littenweiler`, get out at `Oberlinden’ . This is the stop at the `Schwabentor`, take the walking directions from there.

By car:
Take the `Freiburg-Mitte` exit from the A5 freeway and follow the signs towards `Freiburg-Mitte/Neustadt-Titisee` (B31). Keep going straight, you will be taken directly into town. In Freiburg the street turns into `Lessingstrasse` then `Schillerstrasse`. From `Schillerstrasse` take a left onto `Schwabentorring`. Take the next right onto `Kartäuserstrasse` and go about 200 m. The Black Forest Hostel n° 33 is on the left, in the back courtyard.
